1. High thermal resistance. Thanks to a special production process involving tempering, chemical treatment and surface polishing, together with a glass-ceramic thickness of 4 mm, Schott Robax glass withstands heating to 700-760°C.

How do you look after the glass so that it stays clear?
The self-cleaning system does most of the work, but it only works properly under two conditions: dry firewood and a sufficient air supply. If the glass sooties up quickly, the cause is almost always damp wood, a weak draught in the flue, or the air regulator being closed too far — not the glass itself.
For cleaning, use products intended for fireplace glass; abrasives and metal scrapers are not suitable, because they leave scratches on the surface. And note that the warranty on the appliance does not extend to the glass itself or to the sealing cords — these are components that depend on how carefully the fireplace is handled.
